Many solutions exist to create killer web sites. PHP, ASP, COLDFUSION, JAVA SERVLETS, JSP, WEBSPHERE etc..
And I am sure that there are more pertinent choices to make for various situations. Such as not employing an app server to process an email form submission from a site that gets 20 hits a day.
